Lester and Gail both worked previously in a major window and door manufacturing company and recognised a niche in the market for a repair service as most companies who install windows and doors will only repair their own products and have a limited guarantee period, we started Ardleigh on 12/9/1994 with Lester and a helper in a repair van and Gail in the office, within a month we purchased a second van and employed Michael, who had worked previously with Lester, and who was and is an invaluable asset to the company we also took on another helper. We operated with this staff for another 12 years until our son David came to join us last February. We now have a staff of 6 people 2 in the office and 4 on the road, including Lester who does all the pricing.

We take pride in offering a professional service, always keeping our appointments or contacting the customers to inform them of any delays. We are not an emergency company and with only two vehicles on the road we are normally booked up for a week to ten days at a time. However, it is our experience that our customers in general are willing to wait and wherever possible we will always attend to emergencies as soon as possible. Lester and Michael have over 25 years experience of windows and doors and have a vast wealth of knowledge between them, to this end we replace and repair a wide variety of sections and accessories some of which we stock and others we have to source or purchase as required. Because of the nature of our work it is not always possible to source the correct parts as they may have become obsolete, however, we will always try our best to find an alternative part to work.

Approximately 95% of all our work comes from recommendations from previous customers and installation companies.
